Modern Baby Quilt - Tutorial

Whitnee and I have made it through another week of So You Think You're Crafty! This week we made it through with our Modern Baby Quilt.
In case you aren't familiar with this contest it's a craft contest and someone is voted off every week. It's an anonymous contest so I can't tell you what we designed for this week.  But I can share the tutorial for our Modern Baby Quilt.
40"x43"
Materials needed:
From your Natural material you will cut a 14 1/2"x43 1/2" piece. Add a 2 12" strip to each side, as shown in the image above.
Now from your charm pack you will pick out 30 charm squares. Sew them together as shown in the image above.
Now take another piece of the natural material and cut it  18 1/2"x13 1/4 ". Then add a 2 1/2" border all the way around as shown in the image above.
Using our starch applique tutorial you will add the vines, flowers and leaves to your plain sections. For our circles we used a CD as large circle template and for the small circle we used a lid. As shown in the images above.
Now applique the flower in the blue section. Again using the CD as the template for the center of the flower.
Now sew all 3 sections together. Refer to the picture of the whole quilt. Then quilt, bind and enjoy!

I had fun making this little quilt because it's detailed yet it was really fast to make!
Hope you enjoy too!
