Fun or Fabulous Fabric Friday #14: Fabric of the Year

I haven't done a Fabric Friday for a while, but I thought since it's getting near the end of the year, I'd present my Fabric of the Year!  So how did the fabric above qualify for this prestigious designation???  It's simply the fabric that I used the most of.   As you can see it's a nice subtle fabric that easily blends in with others ... hee, hee ...

Anyway, this fabric was the backing for my 2010 Selvage Sampler and as well I used a fussy-cut head in a square on the front to represent me.  I also used a fussy-cut head from this in the Royal-T Tess's Princess Castle quilt.  I used a large piece of this in the backing of the Vitali-T quilt.  It shows up in several squares in the Attack of the Scraps quilt.  And it is in several squares of my No Rhyme Nor Reason quilt which is a work in progress.

Of course the selvage from this fabric is long gone, but it is an Andover fabric.  It is by Kathy Hall from the collection of the New Mexico International Museum of Folk Art.

Edited to Add:  I had either 8 or 9 yards of this I think.  I  bought 2 yards and then the next time I was in the same fabric place, the rest of the bolt was on the Clearance Rack for $1.99/yard.  Who could resist?  I still have lots of great scraps of it left too.

So what was your Fabric of the Year?
