SIX years ago today I married this cute boy.

TEN years ago I started dating that cute boy.

FOUR years ago we had this crazy little girl.

(yes those are my glasses she has on... upside down....)

She's 3!

Happy birthday to my baby!

She is 3 today!

I actually baked yesterday, baked a cake for her birthday. 

My husband told me he's pretty sure that I've only baked three times in our entire marriage. On each of Chesney's birthdays. 

Chesney is really obsessed with puppies right now, so Kathleen came up with the idea to make a a puppy cake.

and, she loves it! She even named it Bocephus (the name of our dog).

Since, apparently I've only baked three times in my marriage I thought I'd share proof that I actually did bake three times :)

This was last year, for her 2nd birthday.

This was two years ago for her first birthday.

A much needed break!

I haven't touched my computer since Friday morning and let me tell you it was so nice!

My husband is always telling me I spend way to much time on it so I decided to take the weekend off, no answering e-mails, no Facebook, no twittering. Nothing! I didn't even know where my phone was most of the weekend.

So, now you're wondering what I was doing that was so nice......

Babysitting.

Yes, it was so much fun! My sister needed someone to tend her cute little girl so she came and we had a slumber party, with two-two year olds it was very busy! They went everywhere in tutus, we went and fed the ducks played at the park, went and visited grandpa & grandma and payed in their new stream and giggled!

Now, I'm feeling refreshed and I feel like I can take on another week!

Weekend recap.

We had a great weekend.

Kathleen and I spent all day Saturday & part of the day Sunday working on a 'secret' quilt for HMQS.

(I will share pictures in a couple of weeks.)

The quilt is turining out so much cuter than I could have ever expected.

I got to play with EQ for a while and I'm in love.

Sunday we woke up to lots of gifts from the Easter Bunny.

Chesney loves the candy.

Well, all of the chocolate candy.

This year she has figured out how to open it on her own.... scary.

When I was little Peeps were my favorite candy for Easter.

She hates them.

So I guess I have to eat them all for her. :)

Something different.

I haven't touched my sewing machine or quilting machine since Friday.

I took a real weekend for myself.

I needed it.

As I mentioned on Friday my husband was getting ready to run a 1/2 marathon on Saturday.

He ran the race and did a great job.

I'm so proud of him.

I hope some day to have the drive to work out like he does.

This right here is the reason why I work hard.

The reason why I don't can't sleep in.

She's getting so big and so wild!

(As I type this she is in her bed yelling for Nemo, she likes to sleep with a stuffed nemo that is as big as her, and yes it's 11:00pm)

I love her.

Back to the quilting machine tomorrow.

This week is quilt guild and I'm excited.

Also tomorrow I get to share my new Moda Bake Shop quilt.

It's going to be a great week!

Baby Blankets & Ice Skating

Remember back here when I pieced this quilt while watching the Biggest Loser? Well it's all quilted and bound and this morning it headed off to be given to the new parents!

I think it turned out really cute. The pattern is called Stacked Coins and it's by Amamda Jean of Moda Bake Shop.

 I also got to take a little break from quilting and sewing this weekend!! We went ice skating.

 

I don't think I've been in at least 10 years so I was quite shaky at first but it was really fun! They even had little baby skates so Chesney was able to go too. She wouldn't stand up with her skates on so she spent most of the night in someones arms.

Sewing on Sundays

Sundays are the best day to actually sew for me. Kathleen usually will help me if its on Sunday and she's not busy with her full time job or school. (Yup, she's amazing, she is balancing a full time job, going to school and maintaining a 4.0 GPA, a family and helping me.)

Yesterday was a pretty typical Sunday afternoon.

Kathleen was ironing a whole lot of half square triangles while I was sewing.

Brad, was busy watching two football games.

 

Chesney & her uncle were busy building forts. Did you know how handy quilting supplies, like rolls of batting and quilts can come in handy for forts?

How do you spend your Sundays? Do you get lots of sewing done or is Sunday your break from sewing?
