Happy Valentines Day!

I hope everyone is having a special day with someone you love. 

I had a wonderful weekend, I stayed off my computer for 3 days straight and enjoyed three days with my husband. It was so nice to spend time with him, this was our 10th Valentines Day. 

In honor of Valentines I just wanted to share 3 of my Valentines Day tutorials with you.

Busy Machine Quiting

 Remember back here when I told you that I try to quilt during the day. Well, I've been busy doing just that!

Here are a few quilts that I've machine quilted recently.

This heart quilt above and the bloom quilt were pieced by the same sweet customer! I think they are both darling.

Remember how I told you that Bloom is my most popular quilt? Well here's another one! Just as cute as the others.

Another one of my sweet customers made this Valentines day quit above. She also made this fun cowboy quilt below.

I had fun quilting all of these quilts.

I finished two quilts today by about three o'clock so I was able to spend some time this afternoon working on my next Moda Bake Shop quilt. I just have a little bit of applique left to do and then it'll be ready to quilt! I love how it's turning out!

L'Amore E'Bello Wall Hainging Tutorial

L'Amore E'Bello Wall Hanging Tutorial

Finished size: 37"x48"

Materials needed:

1 L'Amour panel

1/2 yard blue (blush material)

1/4 yard L'Amour circles pink

1/4 yard L'Amour circles white

1 yard Essence Sandys solids brown

1.5 yards L'Amour Flowers ivory

 

Start with you L'Amour panel

Trim the panel down to 20.5"x32" as shown in the image above.

From your brown material cut 6 - 3.5" strips and 3 - 2.5" strips.

From your blue, white and pink materials cut one 2.5" strip.

Sew your strips together as shown in the image above.

Attach a 3.5" border to your panel.

From your blocks, add borders to the two sides.

Now add top and bottom borders as shown in the image above.

Now add 3.5" borders to the top and bottom.

Add the last 3.5" borders to the sides.

 

Using our starch applique tutorial print off the words L'Amore E'Bello (love is beautiful in Italian) and applique them on.

Walla! The top is complete!

Now quilt, bind and enjoy!

I had a little but of fun machine quilting this wall hanging. I did a little bit of extra quilting but I love how it turned out!
