Life: A Glorious Privilege

This weeks "Everyday Pleasures" post is a little different, as I generally do not think of graveyards as everyday pleasures...

However, last week when forced to take a long detour, off of my chosen regular path, I stumbled upon a very old and beautiful church that beckoned me to stop...

Walking among the tombstones, many of them marked with flags to show those who so bravely fought in our past wars, I thought of this Fourth of July, where once again I am thankful for all of my blessings, but deeply wish to live in a world where war is but a distant memory, and everyone, everywhere, lives in peace, health and prosperity...

May you all have a happy 4th.

The grave of a soldier who fought in the Revolutionary War.

A mother's love and sorrow.

Yes, indeed it is.

Seeing as it is July 4th, I thought the vintage photograph below would be very fitting to post in my shop and offer up for today's "BooDillys Daily Dilly" special.

FOURTH of JULY VINTAGE PATRIOTIC PHOTO:

Based on their clothing I am guessing this photo was taken sometime in the 1910's. Since the little boy, (I love his expression) is holding a flag with 48 stars, it would have also had to been sometime after 1912.

Remember, if you buy this Fourth of July Vintage Photograph from my BooDilly's Shop today, July 4th 2008, I will refund you via PayPal, 10% of your purchase price for this item, plus 10% of your shipping price for this item. All you have to do, is after your purchase, leave a message either in the comment section here or through Etsy, to let me know you saw it here. This offer is only good for today.
