Getting Up Close with Wave Quilting

Wave Quilting is wavy lines going up and down, including swirls.  The quilting lines look like water waves.  The photos show several examples of Wave Quilting.  This type of free style quilting looks unique for every quilt.  Some need more swirls and some need more waves.  It just depends on the quilt.  Note how different each quilt looks.  Each quilt has it own intensity of waves and swirls.  More photos in the Photo Gallery.

Birthday Party Quilts!

Barbara made this darling quilt for family birthday parties!
I love the idea. I like to use quilts as table cloths and to have one just for birthday parties just seems so fitting!
She made it a bit longer than the original pattern but for a big table it's perfect.
Barbara wanted an all over quilting pattern so I machine quilted circles. I love how happy they turned out. :)
There are kits for the smaller version of this quilt available here.
Pretty Please with a Cherry on Top quilt pattern is by Amanda of The Quilted Fish.
Barbara also made this super cute table runner.
Aren't they both so cute for a birthday party! :)

I hope you're having a fabulous Memorial Day. We've enjoyed our day so far, sleeping in and heading out in a while to visit cemeteries then our families.
