Re Worked My "Spilling Over" Quilt

Yesterday I decided that my "Spilling Over" quilt needed a frame. I dug through my stash and came up with this fantastic silver filigreed like fabric and laid it over black fleece to get this border. I also put some extra fleece under the vase to puff it up some more giving it an added
3-D look and feel. I hand sewed the top main part to the silver frame. And hand sewed another sheet of black fleece to the back. It is now much more sturdy that it was initially. I love the fact that everything used to make this quilt was gleaned at a thrift store or garage sale.

Silk neckties for 1$; buttons, thread, and all fabrics used!

I think she is now ready for an art show!
